Christmas Island’s first and only fibre internet service provider.

At our core, we are a team of skilled technicians and engineers with a real passion for technology on the island territories of Australia. Our team have worked for years in the IT & Telecom industries specializing in niche solutions for the island territories, specifically Christmas Island.

When the Perth – Singapore undersea fibre optic cable landed on the shores of CI, we knew we had an opportunity to do some great work: create a network with all new carrier-grade infrastructure, to bring a new age of internet connectivity, speed, service & reliability on Christmas Island – which is when CiFi was born.

We know from first hand experience how challenging and limiting the infrastructure & internet access options can be on some island territories, not to mention getting an effective connectivity solution and support for your service from mainland-based companies. We want to change this.

CiFi continues to invest heavily in state of the art carrier grade equipment throughout our network, constructing our network sites in accordance with industry standards. This is the same level of equipment and build quality that densely populated cities enjoy, which further supports our mission to excel in service continuity and reliability.

RELIABLE

Aiming for maximum uptime for all services, our network has a huge amount of redundancy built in to all aspects of our customer access services. We understand the logistical & environmental challenges of a remote tropical island such as CI, and plan accordingly with a large inventory of local spare parts.

SERVICE CONTINUITY

Every decision made for our equipment selection and network design has been made with service continuity as a top priority, with a particular focus on impact from adverse weather conditions. This means your service will work, and remain working, through things like rain, storms and power outages. Loss of connectivity in heavy rain is set to become a thing of the past!

ACCESSIBLE

CiFi’s network will support many different forms of customer access, devices and service types, and we are constantly looking to grow our network to support all populated locations, including both fixed location and mobile users.
